The SHARPAL 168H Dual-Grit Diamond Sharpening Stone is a professional-grade solution designed to deliver fast, precise, and clean sharpening results for a wide range of knives and tools. Unlike traditional whetstones, this diamond stone sharpens even the hardest steels—including super steels like CPM-series, M390, and Elmax—while staying flat, requiring no lapping, and working dry without mess. Featuring a dual-sided design with coarse 325 grit (45 micron) to restore dull edges and extra-fine 1000 grit (15 micron) for honing to a razor-sharp finish, it combines efficiency and convenience in one tool. The large 8" x 3" (200 mm x 75 mm) surface offers greater control and stability, especially when sharpening larger blades. Built with premium monocrystalline diamond abrasives and enhanced by a three-times electroplating process, this stone provides superior durability, consistent cutting performance, and long-lasting use. SHARPAL’s MirrorFlat™ Technology ensures a flatness tolerance of ±0.002 inch (0.05 mm), delivering accurate edge geometry and even contact across the entire surface. The included 4-angle guide (14°, 17°, 20°, 25°) and non-slip rubber pad help maintain optimal blade positioning while keeping your work surface safe.

The sharpel diamond 8 x 3 is awesome. I sharpen chisels and plane irons. I have been through wet stones, oil stones, sand paper on glass and marble and cheap diamond sharpening stones. I have now settled on a set of cheap diamond sharpening stones (because I have them) and I use the sharpel at the end. All the others stones just get me in the neighborhood of sharpness. The sharpel is what gets me in the house. One of these days I will replace those cheap stones with sharpel stones. Also, It does not take a lot of honing on the sharpel stones to get a good edge. So maintenance on a sharp iron or chisel is much easier and less time consuming using the sharpel. Also you must have a leather stop and honing compound. Highly recommend.
